A few boutique inns and Airbnb apartments in the residential blocks north of Federal Street run $125-175. From Albany International Airport, 15 minutes by car via I-87 north to Route 7 east. From downtown Albany, CDTA Route 22 runs to Troy in 20-25 minutes for $1.50, or drive I-787 north in 12 minutes. Amtrak passengers cross the river from Rensselaer via bus or Uber ($12). Inside downtown Troy everything worth seeing is walkable in 10-15 minutes.
