The Tulip Festival on Mother's Day weekend fills the park with 100,000+ tulips and food vendors — book any nearby lodging six months out. Skip the immediate park perimeter if you want restaurants on your doorstep; you’ll need to walk to Lark Street or Delaware Ave for food.
The State Street and Willett Street sides have the best inns and townhouse rentals, generally $140-210 a night. Inside the park itself just walk — driving the perimeter is fine but parking on Englewood Place fills up during festivals.
